Join us for an unforgettable sailing adventure along the spectacular coast of Norway, where every day brings new landscapes, peaceful anchorages, and unforgettable experiences. Our journey is designed to be flexible, allowing the route to follow the wishes of the crew as well as the weather and sailing conditions.
Our main starting point is Bergen, the historic gateway to the Norwegian fjords. From here, we may sail north into the magnificent Sognefjord, often called the King of the Fjords. As the longest and deepest fjord in Norway, Sognefjord offers dramatic mountain scenery, quiet villages, impressive waterfalls, and countless hidden bays where we can anchor for the night.
If the crew prefers to head south, we can explore the beautiful Hardangerfjord, known as the Queen of the Fjords. This region is famous for its fruit orchards, steep mountain slopes, crystal-clear waters, and picturesque villages. During the right season, the blooming orchards create an unforgettable landscape, while numerous waterfalls tumble down the surrounding cliffs.
For those with a special interest in Norway's most iconic landmarks, we can also begin our adventure in Stavanger. From there we can sail into the breathtaking Lysefjord, home to the world-famous Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) and the spectacular Kjerag mountain, where the famous Kjerag Boulder rests between two cliffs. These dramatic natural wonders are among Norway's most photographed locations.
Wherever we sail, nature will be our constant companion. We may encounter seals resting on rocky shores, porpoises swimming alongside the boat, and if we are lucky, even pods of orcas or other whales. White-tailed sea eagles often soar above the fjords, while countless seabirds nest along the rugged coastline.
The fjords are filled with natural wonders. Towering cliffs rise directly from the sea, waterfalls plunge hundreds of meters into the fjords, and glaciers can often be seen high in the surrounding mountains. Small fishing villages, colorful wooden houses, and traditional harbors offer welcoming places to explore and experience local Norwegian culture.
Our itinerary remains flexible throughout the voyage. If the weather is less suitable for sailing, we can use the opportunity to discover Norway from the land. Many beautiful hiking trails begin close to the shore, leading to panoramic viewpoints, mountain lakes, waterfalls, and scenic peaks. Whether it is a short walk through a charming village or a full-day mountain hike, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy Norway's incredible landscapes.
This is not a race from one destination to another. It is a relaxed sailing holiday where we take the time to enjoy the journey, adapt to nature, and make the most of every day. Good company, beautiful scenery, quiet evenings at anchor, and the freedom to explore make every trip unique.
No two voyages are ever the same. Wind, weather, and the wishes of the crew will shape our route, creating a truly personal adventure through some of the most beautiful fjords in the world.
