Simple answer: you can, but you don't need to.

Generally it is advised to have the most suitable equipment for the activities. This is valid for any kind of sport. There are many vendors of sailing gears, but generally it is enough to have a good wind- and rain- proof jacket and pants.

One has to pay attention to the correct footwear. It is not recommended to wear mountain or tracking shoes which are usually made for rain. At sea, one is exposed not only to rain, but also to the salt water and this tends to ruin the membrane.

One has to pay attention to the shoe sole as well. It better doesn't leave any traces on the plastic deck of the boat and is slip-free. It is recommended to have footwear a size or two bigger than one usually wears.

Information about the sailing experience, food allergies or medical restriction are required by the skipper who can, based on this information, make better decisions. If it is required for the transport organization, we exchange phone numbers and addresses. In the case people organize their transport themselves, we exchange only phone numbers to be able to contact each other. For preparation of the provision, it is essential to know all food limitations (diets, food allergies). Therefore, this information becomes available to others.
